Y’all. We tried to have a cute little Halloween photoshoot with the shelter dogs.
What started as a cute little photo shoot quickly turned into an unpaid modeling agency with absolutely ZERO cooperation from the talent.
Sorry to bombard your newsfeed… but here we go.
First up:
Destiny and Frauline
The Princess
THE PRINCESS: Have officially informed management that she will no longer be accepting regular dog food, sleeping on anything without a cushion, or associating with peasants. She would also like to speak to whoever is responsible for her current living arrangements. Destiny has officially requested a private suite, room service, a personal assistant, and for us peasants to stop interrupting her beauty sleep to clean her kennel.
The Ballerina
THE BALLERINA: She’s beauty. She’s grace. She’s got her tongue hanging halfway down her face. She’s giving Dance Moms: Shelter Edition, and we are NOT emotionally prepared for her recital. Frauline has been practicing her interpretive dance routine, which mostly consists of spinning in circles, sticking her tongue out, and demanding treats.
Broadway has NOT called.

In all seriousness, these sweet babies are celebrating spooky season the only way they know how, being ridiculously adorable while waiting for someone to fall in love with them.
From Holding Hope
Now it’s your pet’s turn
The shelter dogs set the bar. Holding Hope’s Howl-o-ween Pet Photo Contest is open, and your pet could win Halloween. The shelter animals win either way.

- The pet with the most votes takes home a basket of dog or cat goodies.
Voting ends Friday, October 30, and we’ll announce the winner on Halloween.
Every entry fee and every vote is a donation to Holding Hope Inc. Every dollar raised helps us support the animals at the Blakely Animal Shelter, dogs like Destiny and Frauline who are still waiting on their people.
